The Monkey Is Pissed...
Because he's been completely ignored for almost a month!
I am so thankful for everything I have and God's got my back...
But....
Dropped the jet ski trailer on my foot and broke my toe two weeks ago the ONE time I have been to the lake this summer. Hobbling around...
Still no job, but after FOUR months and an appeal I finally got unemployment. I will survive.
Still leery about spending ANY money so I'm driving around with no A/C in my truck. Windows work great though.
I'm having to mow back yard twice a week because of the excess water, BUT I have a rider and everyone is jealous it's so green. Well, they haven't said so, but I'm sure they are.
The ONE time I went to the lake, had to pay half of the annual rental.
Finally called and added the camper to my insurance this morning and also jet ski coverage. This should have been done last year. Someone might steal the jet ski's to show me that they are supposed to be moved more often and used more than the ONE time I've been to the lake.
Oh, I'm wrong. David and his friend went up one day. The weekend he told me had to work. They took BOTH ski's out. My new one without my permission. We're still going to have a talk about this later. I found this out and was angry the ONE weekend I went down there. Actually, my brother's girl friend went down with me and two friend's of David's. David had "attitude" the whole 24 hours he was there because he was tired. They left on Saturday after the guys got pissed because I wouldn't let them take both jet ski's out alone without David.
And to top it all. David is moving out this weekend to my ex's girlfriend's rental house. I'm very appreciative of this because he's getting a good deal and he'll be able to leave the place he's staying at with friends. Of course, Rooster is back and mentioned going to the lake. I want to go. I also want to be here when he hauls his bed out the door for the first time in his life.
I ALSO wanted to be on the other end when he puts his bed up somewhere else for the first time. BUT, he has told me no, because he's not sure who all is going to be there. Meaning his Dad and GF. His Dad and I have been apart for almost 9 years. I have no problem with it. Why does everyone else? She's met his FIRST wife, why not the SECOND? They are fixing it up really nice for him. Her daughter just moved out of it and got married and lives close by. They live close by to David. I live an hour and a half away. Mama Bear is sharpening her claws here. I have to keep my mouth shut for this momentous occasion and enjoy the moment with David. His first place. I'm excited for him. Seriously, I am. I just wish it was about an hour closer!
But....he did not join the Air Force. He is not in Korea or BF Egypt. I am thankful, truly thankful.
And this goes round and round in my head.....with background music..."I'll Be There"

Wait. How many times have you been to the lake? And on another note--those toes have to kill. And another, I am happy for David, and maybe he'll visit more....We can only hope. I wish I could help with your decision for this weekend...but why don't you pop up to Virginia the next?;) Seriously.
Hang in there, it'll get better or it won't. But that's what being a parent is. I guess. Go to the lake and have fun!
hopefully all will be well with the move and the toes will heal up and you can go have fun at the lake!
What is it with unemployment and breaking toes??? My first gig with unemployment I broke three of the little toes on my right foot. Damn that f*ing hurts!!!!!
I wish I lived closer to you. I would drag yer butt up to the lake. I know how it feels not to get there. This was my first time to my lake since 2007! (gas gouges kept me away all summer last year) Although my OD says it was 2006 the last time we went. I have no clue, I just know I don't get to go often enough.
Hang in there! Just know there are those of us out here in blogworld that feel your pain!

Glad to see you up and blogging, now all I have to do is get my butt in gear and do the same.... Maybe now that I am off work with my broken toe, I can get caught up! I'll be off for at least 6weeks! I can't wear shoes, and no shoes, no work at UPS! Post somre more pics of the lake so we can all enjoy it too!
Must be some monkey business going around. The title of the post I just posted was No Monkeys Around Here. Great minds run along the same line.
And I thought I was the winner of that lottery. Oh, well. Back to the drawing board.

I'm so sorry about your toes and your lack of jet ski time. That really sucks. But you're right that you have a lot to be grateful for. :)
Sorry about your toe...lucky they heal fairly fast, you'll be back out on the lake in no time and then you'll feel better about everything. Oh, and remember...no one can ever replace a mom no matter where they go or who they're with...you've got that special spot covered - no worries!

at first, i was gonna dog you out for not bloggin in so long-- but as i read on, i decided i better not do that. girl, you have a lot goin on. i sure hope things have slowed down by now. toe healed? get some ridin time in? i'm sure i know this-- or i should at least-- but where do live? if you're close enough to me, i'll go out there and "make" ya go jet ski-ing. i love it. we used to have one several years ago-- but haven't in a looooong time. fishing kinda took its' place i spose.
